A catch-all functionality that is activated for a certain mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you disable an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten address under the same domain name, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you run a business, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk email messages, you can combine the catch-all feature with email filters so as to get only legitimate emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be unbelievably easy if you’ve got a Linux shared hosting package with us. You can enable this option through our powerful, albeit user-friendly Email Manager tool, which is an integral part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your account. You will see all the mailboxes that you have created enumerated in alphabetical order and on the right side of each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously notify you whether a certain mailbox stores all the messages associated with a certain domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature whenever you wish. In case there’s enabled email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain name, you will receive a warning message from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically or without your permission.
