In order to create a web site, you need 2 things - your own domain name and a website hosting plan for it. The domain registration is the actual website address which you enter in an Internet browser to access a website, while the hosting space is where your site files is going to be. These are two very closely connected, yet separate services, although many people believe that registering the domain is enough. Much like the disk space and the monthly traffic features which a given web hosting plan offers, there are a certain number of registered domains which you can include as hosted i.e. you can have the web content for them in some account even if the domains have been registered through a different service provider. In technical terms, it doesn't matter if a domain is registered and hosted using the same company or is registered with one company and directed to another - either way your websites will function in exactly the same way.
Hosted Domains in Shared Hosting
The shared hosting solutions that we provide permit you to host a different number of domain names. In this way, you can choose what package to buy and how much to pay based on your requirements. If you want to host more domain names later on than the amount the current package enables you to, you can effortlessly upgrade the whole plan or keep the same one and only add more slots for hosted domain addresses. If you want to use the registration services of a different company, you will be able to see the name servers that you have to set for your domains so as to point them to our cloud platform in the Hosted Domains section of the Control Panel on our end. If you prefer to have everything in 1 location, however, there is no limit for the amount of domain names you can register/transfer inside your account whatever the hosting package that you have picked. Then you could decide if you will host any of them or you'll direct them to other existing domains.
